It was stressed that the Bill (Reg.№0098) envisages "adoption of the Ukrainian edition of the official title of the Charter into the correspondence with the text of the original, correct the ambiguities the names of several languages, broader to the 15 points the register of such languages and implement the possibilities f the Charter for the protection and support of the state language in Ukraine.

In particular it is envisaged that the title should be changed from ‘The European Charter of Regional Languages or Minorities" into "European Charter of the Regional or Minoritarian Languages". The register of the languages should consist of: Byelorussian, Bulgarian, Armenian,  Gagauz, Yiddish, Crimea Tatar, Moldavian, German, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Romanian, Slovak and Hungarian languages.

Moreover territories of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Lugansk, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Kherson regions and Sevastopol city Ukraine implement principle "mutatis mutandis" concerning the national language that is special occasions that are predetermined by the part III of the charter are aimed at the support development and protection of the state language.
